This heavy clay pot can be filled with water, like a bird feeder or office water dispenser. Air pressure holds in the bulk of the water until the level drops enough for air to enter, refilling the dispensing reservoir at the bottom. The reservoir has been repaired with red pottery. |

It’s about 16 inches high (40cm). It may have been used as a water dispenser for poultry. But what was its original use? |
